Despite her appearance and reputation as an oni, Choten is a kind soul at heart. She is not particularly intelligent, but can put in the effort when asked of her.She usually ends up being liked by most people, especially children, but is at odds with most official law organizations despite her mostly harmless antics and pranks.Choten takes pride in her oni heritage and does not like those who discriminate her kind. She never uses her strength for malicious purposes, refusing to terrorize humans and steal rewards that she hadn't claimed legitimately. Due to this pride, she is extremely competitive, although she knows when to concede.Choten may even sometimes look up to humans she respects, to the point of struggling to even approach them-She is rather infamous for her approachability and her rather sensitive funny bone, as it's very easy to make her let loose a cute little giggle from the slightest amusement. She will laugh when she's up to no good, chuckle at her observations on things, giggle at her mistakes and burst at cheap jokes. Bad puns are especially her weakness as she starts giggling and laughing to where she can't contain herself anymore, bashing her table(or any other surface) uncontrollably and needing to stop whatever she's doing just to let it loose.Additionally, typical of an oni, she also has a really violent temper if pushed too far. Getting into physical fights, punching a hole in a wall...several times. But she always tries to keep herself in a fantastic enough mood to avoid showing her anger in front of others, especially children, save for cute toothless outbursts.
As an Oni, Choten holds many supernatural traits and features associated with the youkai.Immunity to poisons, bacteria, and diseases, superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, razor sharp claws and fangs, enhanced senses, swordsmanship, slight innate magical attunement, quick healing, etc.
